OneAir

A Regional Defense Framework

Solving the Transboundary Crisis through Data and Diplomacy

Air does not recognise sovereign borders. Following the findings of our January 2026 Report, The Invisible Import, it is clear that air pollution is a regional “shared debt” that requires a unified, transboundary response.

The OneAir™ Initiative is a regional framework designed to protect “receptor nations” while incentivising “source nations” to adopt sustainable practices. Our research confirms that regional air quality is now 100 times deadlier than the climate-driven storms we traditionally prepare for.

The Sub-Continental “Pollution Pipeline”

Pollution travels across thousands of kilometres via atmospheric “pipelines.” During seasonal monsoons, wind acts as a conveyor belt, transporting industrial, agricultural, and urban waste from high-density production zones to neighbouring countries.

Critically, this air undergoes “Chemical Ripening” over long distances. This process increases its oxidative potential, meaning the air reaching downwind nations is often more toxic than at its point of origin. This is a regional health crisis that no single nation can solve in isolation.

Why a Regional Approach is Mandatory?

The One-Air™ initiative is built on three transboundary realities:

Δ

Collective Validation

By using a unified analytical methodology, countries can move from “blame-shifting” to “data-sharing.”

2M+

Shared Mortality

In the South Asian context, annual deaths from Outdoor air pollution are 40 times higher than all global deaths from natural disasters combined.

15x

The ROI of Cooperation

Our economic modeling proves that regional “No-Burn” programs and cross-border emission trading generate a 15x return in reduced healthcare costs and recovered productivity for the entire region.

Our framework provides a “Policy Roadmap” applicable to any receptor or source nation.

01

Regional

Early Warning System

Bridging the “Siren Gap” by providing a 48-hour “Golden Window” for regional governments to protect vulnerable populations before pollution surges cross their borders.

02

Article 6

Carbon Markets

Leveraging the Paris Agreement to facilitate cross-border investments. Receptor nations can “buy” cleaner air by funding emission reductions in neighboring source nations.

03

Longitudinal Progress

VET & Industrial Data

Utilizing annual Vehicle Emission and Industrial logs as a Regional Performance Metric to measure the year-over-year success of transboundary policies.

04

Synchronized

Seasonal Mitigation

Aligning the industrial and agricultural maintenance schedules of neighboring countries with seasonal “Crisis Windows.”

Scaling the One-Air™ Initiative

While our primary case study focuses on the Indian Ocean corridor, the One-Air™ Framework is a modular system designed for any region facing transboundary atmospheric challenges. We are currently engaging with national ministries, international NGOs, and regional cooperation bodies to integrate these proprietary suggestions into a unified strategic framework.

A Shared Vision for Regional Air Security

The One-Air™ initiative is a decentralised joint effort. It is not owned by any single entity, nor does it rely on a central “provider.” Instead, it is a collaborative space where independent organisations, scholars, and individuals align their unique strengths to solve a crisis that transcends all our borders.

The Principle of Equal Partnership

This initiative recognises that every party, whether a government body, a university scholar, or a local association, brings essential value.

How We Work Together

This is a “Plug-and-Play” collaboration. You don’t “join” us; we align with each other.

Join the Joint Effort

Our Primary Objective:

If you agree with this mission and you want to see a tangible change in the air we share, join the One-Air™ effort today. This is a decentralised movement open to any Organization, Institution, Association, University, Scholar, Activist, or Individual who is ready to take a proactive role in regional air security.

How to Align with the Initiative

We invite you to reach out directly to begin the process of collaboration. Whether you have preliminary research to share, an ongoing project to align, or a desire to contribute your expertise, your effort is a vital part of this joint responsibility.

Send an email to: oneair@ieriglobal.com

A member of our research team or a strategic associate will follow up with you to discuss how your specific efforts can be integrated into the One-Air™ framework.

Together, we turn the “Invisible Import” into a visible, coordinated victory for regional health.
